Bear Hunt

Presently we operate a small bear hunt on a two hundred square kilometre Bear Management Area, (BMA). This tract of wilderness, was not hunted in the 2007 hunting season because we had just acquired the area in August of 2007. Sturgeon River Outfitters commenced bear hunts in one section of the BMA for September 2008 with 100% success. In 2009 and 2010 the BMA was not hunted because of the world economic recession, however the bear population benefited - was greatly elevated and the bear hunt in 2011 was very successful. The activity on the baits was 100%, with many baits displaying multiple bear activity.

The new addition for the 2010  Bear Hunt season is the installation of a 120 square foot walk-in cooler on site. This cooler, with its new AC Unit will preserve your harvested bear, to yield an excellent quality organic meat.
